Based on the real-life experiences of a lawyer in the French legal system, what begins as an ordinary case will become this lawyer’s career-defining – or destroying – achievement. Jean Monier is a disillusioned lawyer, appointed to defend Nicolas Milik, a man accused of murdering his wife. While everything points to his guilt, Monier takes up the case, convinced of his innocence. As his investigations keep bringing him back to the night of the murder and the family dynamics, he also gets closer to his client, adding to the pressure to defend him. What begins as just an ordinary case will put him to the test. Starring Daniel Auteuil (Cache), Grégory Gadebois (Angel & Tony), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen) and Alice Belaïdi (Interns), An Ordinary Case is co-written by Steven Mitz (Ma famille chérie) and Auteuil and is directed by Auteuil.
An Ordinary Case will be available in the Uk and Ireland on Digital Platforms from 7th July.
