Masters Of The Universe Reboot Adds Three More To Cast As Filming Continues In London

After the first set photos last week revealed that production has officially begun on Amazon MGM Studios’ long-mooted reboot of Masters Of The Universe (with a first sneak peek at Nicholas Galatzine as Prince Adam and his Power Sword), the cast of the film has swelled with three new recruits added as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on the popular Mattel toy line and Filmation cartoon series, the film has added Jon Xue Zhang (The Brothers Sun) as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata (Agatha All Along) as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola (Queenpins) as Hussein, with the latter two announcements seemingly new, original characters added to the mix with word that some of the film will take place on Earth.
Alongside Galatizine as Prince Adam/He-Man, the film stars Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man and Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops.
Travis Knight (Kubo & The Two Strings, Bumblebee) directs the film from a script by Kubo scribe Chris Butler. Initial drafts were penned by David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee for the movie that hails from Escape Artists and Mattel Films. The previous big-screen adaptation of the franchise was in 1987’s film starring Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella, and Courtney Cox.
Masters Of The Universe is due in cinemas on June 5th, 2026.
